James Robert Owen, age 63, of Wautoma, passed away Friday evening, November 30, 2018 at Juliette Manor in Berlin.
He was born July 23, 1955 in Milwaukee, the son of Robert L. and Gertrude B. (Netzel) Owen. He married the former Denise Ellen Pflugh on January 5, 1986 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She preceded him in death on November 19, 2018.
Jim was a 1973 graduate of South Milwaukee High School. He attended UW-Stout and later MATC in Milwaukee where he received an Associate Degree in Accounting. He worked in management for Holiday Inn Hotels in Milwaukee for many years. After moving to Wautoma, he was night auditor at Boarders Inn, Wautoma. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus in Wautoma.
He is survived by two sisters, Barb Adams, Wautoma, Karen (Mike) Bretzel, Wautoma; a sister-in-law, Diane (Nolan) Tobias, Milwaukee; one niece and two nephews, Jamie (Dallas) Kienast, Spring Lake, Jason Bretzel (Heidi Hurd), Omro, and John Bretzel, Wautoma; great nieces and nephews, Jazmyn, Jayson, Joscelyn, Jayden, and Justyce. Jim is further survived by other family and friends, especially the Mountain Morris Gang.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and by his brother-in-law, Wayne Adams.
