Brian Keith Borgens, age 60 of Wautoma, died unexpectedly on Friday, December 6, 2019 at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center, Appleton from complications of a lifelong illness. Brian was born January 16, 1959 in Milwaukee to James and Carol (Hoft) Borgens. After high school he joined the U.S. Army and was stationed at Ft. Lewis, WA as a cannon crewman and was honorably discharged in 1979. On March 20, 1981 he married Cheryl Camp in Montello. Brian worked as a truck driver for Weiland Trucking and then as an Owner/Operator Truck Driver. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to car shows spending time with his son in the garage restoring cars, working on motorcycles and loved riding his Harley. Brian was an active member of Redgranite AMVETS Post 13 and AMVET Riders. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
Brian is survived by his wife: Cheryl; daughter: Lisa (Eric) Adamski; son: Brad Borgens; grandchildren: LeeAnn Borgens, Noah Johnston; mother: Carol (Jerry) Krause; sister: Vicky Borgens; brothers: Curtis Borgens, Jim Borgens; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father: James Borgens.
Funeral Services will be held at 11AM on Friday, December 13, 2019 at Leikness Funeral Home followed by Military Honors. The family will greet relatives and friends from 4PM to 6PM on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at Leikness Funeral Home, Wautoma and again on Friday at the funeral home from 10AM until the time of services at 11AM.
